Quarterly Goals: Spring 2017

Hi everyone! So it’s officially April, so that means it’s quarterly goals time! *fist pump* Let’s see I how I did this last quarter:
1. Finish draft 1 of The Four Gods. Like, actually finish it. Also part of this goal: quit beating myself up over the MS. This is my dream project, so I’m being extra hard on myself over this, but the story just needs to be written.
—Did this one!

2. Go through self-edits for entire TFG manuscript.
—Did this too, though I admit I kind of rushed myself and probably could have been more thorough.

3. Be ready for first round of beta readers by the end of the quarter.
—And we’re three for three! Beta reading started on the 2nd of April.

4. Post some more extras for The Moon-Eyed Ones and more extras for The Four Gods.
—I’ve been sadly ignoring The Moon-Eyed Ones’ extra content, and I didn’t get much for TFG out. Fail here.

5. Be more active on social media.
—I consider this a fail, too. I’m not as social savvy as I’d like to be and I need to learn how to be.

6. Keep sleep schedule consistent.
—Save for a few days this quarter, I’ve been doing this. Win.

7. Exercise 4 days per week at least.
—Win. I started more strength-focused exercises and am continuing my cardio routine.

8. Finish knitting project and begin next project.
—Pfft. Nope. Not even close.

9. Manage blood sugar better.
—My A1C went down .1% and my diabetes is considered controlled. So major win here.

10. Maintain weight.
—I mean…I did, but I’m not where I want to be. Still a win.

That’s 7 out of 10. That’s technically a success for this quarter, but let’s see if we can do better this quarter. Here are my goals for April-June:
1. Get major edits for TFG done that got covered in beta reads up to this point.
2. Research editors for TFG.
3. Continue to manage blood sugar.
4. Continue exercise regimen.
5. Post extras for The Moon-Eyed Ones and TFG.
6. Do a promotion for The Moon-Eyed Ones.
7. Actually get active on social media.
8. Outline and start TFG Book 2
9. Maintain weight, dang it.
10. Set up a marketing plan for TFG.
11. Research publishing options.
12. Research possible cover artists.
We’ll see how I do in July!
