chromatosis:

Colors in Cherokee:

ᎩᎦᎨᎢ (gigage’i) – red

ᎠᏓᎶᏂᎨᎢ (adalonige’i) – orange

ᏓᎶᏂᎨᎢ (dalonige’i) – yellow

ᎢᏤᏳᏍᏗ (itseyusdi) – green

ᏌᎪᏂᎨᎢ (sakonige’i) – blue

ᎩᎦᎨᏍᏗ (gigagesdi) – purple

ᎩᎦᎨ ᏳᏍᏗ (gigage yusdi) – pink

ᎤᏁᎦ (unega) – white

ᎠᏕᎸ ᎤᏁᎦ (adelv unega) – grey

ᎬᎿᎨᎢ (gvhnage’i) – black

The Cherokee language uses a syllabary, similar to Japanese, but it has one more vowel sound. That would be the “v” (pronounced [ə] like the “a” in “about”).

Also, a helpful hint:
Add ᎯᎠ (hia) before any of these colors to turn the noun form of the color into an adjective 🙂
