So my edits with #thefourgods have come to a standstill. A good chunk of the book only needs minor edits, but the last third of the book still needs a plot overhaul. As much as I hate to say, I’m scared that it isn’t going to work. These books and notes that have been by my side to try to work out this complex, mysterious world, and hopefully I’ll find the answer soon. Today is #indepedenceday in the US. For the past few months, I’ve been dealing with declining physical and mental health, and I’ve been getting really discouraged. I remember my time in Hong Kong, where according to Chinese tradition, fireworks scare away evil spirits and bad energy. Had a really bad night last night, but I made it to work and I’m trying to #buildaladder by watching the sun rise from my cozy guard shack and drinking my favorite tea out of my goldfish cup. Going to work on some knitting later and get #thefourgods ready to get shipped off for editing.
